Azizi Developments has commenced construction of five-star hotels within the Azizi Riviera community in Mohammed Bin Rashid City, marking a pivotal milestone in its AED75 billion ($20.4billion) hospitality roadmap.
Alongside this, Azizi is establishing the Azizi Hospitality Academy to train professionals and build a skilled workforce aligned with the requirements of this expanding hospitality portfolio. Positioned within a vibrant waterfront masterplan, the new hospitality venture is set to enhance guest choice and elevate premium stays across the city.
Portfolio Highlights
Azizi’s hospitality expansion is structured at scale, comprising 151 hotels across multiple segments, including 100 four-star properties targeting mid- to upscale demand, 50 five-star hotels strengthening the premium segment, and a single seven-star hotel designed to elevate ultra-luxury positioning.
The programme is expected to add approximately 60,000 room keys to Dubai’s hospitality inventory while generating over 75,000 jobs across the value chain. Notably, more than 90% of these developments will be concentrated within Dubai, reinforcing operational efficiency, ensuring brand consistency, and enabling strong cross-asset synergies.
Burj Azizi and Iconic Positioning
The seven-star hotel is planned within the Burj Azizi project on Sheikh Zayed Road, envisioned to become the world’s second-tallest building. Beyond architectural prominence, the tower is set to amplify Dubai’s luxury hospitality offering, catalyse premium retail and F&B activity, and contribute to placemaking along one of the emirate’s most visible corridors. Within Riviera, the five-star hotel benefits from adjacency to residential, retail, and waterfront amenities, enabling mixed-use synergies and stable occupancy.
Service Excellence and Skills Development
As part of this strategy, Azizi is establishing the Azizi Hospitality Academy to train professionals and build a skilled workforce aligned with international hospitality standards. The objective is to ensure that capacity expansion is matched by a consistent elevation in service quality across the portfolio, supported by internationally benchmarked curricula, practical placements, leadership pathways, a continuous learning model with micro-credentials in guest relations, culinary innovation, and sustainability operations, as well as partnerships with industry bodies to align workforce capabilities with evolving market needs and embed service excellence KPIs.
Location & Access
Situated within Azizi Riviera in Mohammed Bin Rashid City, the hotel benefits from immediate connectivity to Al Khail Road and the wider Meydan precincts, enabling swift access to Downtown Dubai, Business Bay, and the Dubai International Financial Centre in approximately 15–20 minutes.
Proximity to Dubai International Airport and key event venues supports both corporate and leisure demand, while integrated waterfront promenades with retail and dining ensure seamless pedestrian circulation and last mile convenience across the community.
Outlook
As the project advances, Dubai strengthens its hospitality capacity, supporting sustained tourism growth. Investors gain access to a diversified platform driven by strong demand, operational efficiency, and long-term value. Buyers benefit from premium, well-connected waterfront communities offering high-quality design and an elevated lifestyle aligned with Dubai’s luxury living standards.
